Think you don’t have time to work out? Think again.
Here’s two videos from the archives in which I explain a very simple way to get a great workout in any time using a protocol known as “ladders.” It’s one of my favorite ways to sneak in a solid workout when I don’t have a lot of time.
Push-Up Ladders
But wait! There’s more!
Squat Ladders
So get down and do it!
Seriously, there’s no excuse not to do a push-up ladder AND a squat ladder right now.
Post in the comments below so I know you actually did this.

Hi Ryan! Love it.. I’ve been teaching ladders in my classes, members love the challenge and accomplishment. We work up to ten push ups, starting from 1, push through to achieve the magic 55! It makes sense to come back down the ladder again.. will do that next time! Thank you!
Hey Ryan, of course the workouts are up to high standards that I expect from GMB, but I must add that I truly appreciate the welcoming you give us into your daily life and the bit of Japan we get in these videos. Travelogues with exercise, you’re on to something fine!
just saw this today, have to leave for work soon and this was an awesome workout to squeeze in, way better than doing nothing which was my original plan. thanks
Just did three sets of of a five count squat standing on my bongo board, and the same with pushups, hands on the bongo board. took about 10 minutes. Feelin’ good!
Great tips! I love exercising with my kids–at home, at the park, waiting for the bus… There’s never an excuse for not getting stronger. I also like using my kids as equipment–lifting them and throwing them in the air works the parts of the body that I can’t with my own bodyweight.
Did both. Thanks.

“That Magic 55″ – I love that!
Just did burpees and only had to do 1 workout.
Not bad…. until I had to go back down the ladder!
Good stuff – a nice little appetizer before the feast.

Well thank you Kevin. Travelogues with exerÂcise… hmm. Good idea.
Good stuff, guys. I’ve always loved ladders/pyramids. I didn’t do this, but I did my own Thanksgiving Day workout, which included pushups.
Did it in the shower… the squat ladder I mean.
WOW! Really didn’t expect all these comments. Glad that you all enjoyed it. Even in the shower.
I really enjoy sharing parts of my daily life. Especially in Japan since it’s such a funky place.

That’s great Amy! Glad that this helped you out.
Love these. Have to show them to my friends who say they never have time to workout. Thank you.
Thank you for spreading the GMB love Brian.

Ha! I also use my kids as “weights”. Well, screaming, moving, and kicking weights that is.
